The owner, Jason, personally came out to do the initial assessment and quote. Jason is incredibly knowledgeable from his many years of personal experience in the roofing industry. He gave us plenty of choice in the design of roof but also tailored several recommendations based on the specifics of our roof/house. The other companies who gave us quotes sent out some employee who seemed like they had more experience in sales than roofing. They either gave us the standard recommendation they give to all customers or just provided a tiered menu of options with escalating prices without any guidance as to what made sense for us. I had plenty of patient and detailed discussion with Jason about our options, and at no point did I feel like I was getting a “hard sell”. While Shingle Pro’s price was not the cheapest, it was certainly competitive. More importantly, I had little doubts about the quality of the work.
Shingle Pro is a CertainTeed Premier contractor and all of the team are Master Shingle Applicators - and this does afford you the highest level of warranty. But this is not what truly separates Shingle Pro from its competitors. When it comes to the work itself, Jason deliberately incentivizes quality work over speed by paying his crews by the hour (as opposed to by the job) and seems to take care of his employees. The foreman, Camilo, and his whole crew were super professional. They were super polite, always prompt to start their work, and left the worksite clean at the end of each day. Most days, I would come home to find Camilo staying late to make some extra progress or finish some section.
I was thoroughly satisfied with our experience with Shingle Pro. Jason, Camilo, and all of their crew were top notch. I have zero qualms in strongly recommending them to others and have already done so to some of our friends. Just don’t dilly dally or wait for an emergency. The public knows Shingle Pro is good at what they do and keeps them busy!
The workers themselves were absolutely phenomenal, very polite and courteous, as well as patient with our toddler wanting to see everything they were up to.
